Newark, Delaware, October 3, 2017—Driving Dynamics Inc., a provider of advanced performance driver safety training for fleet-based organizations throughout North America has added James Paterson, as the director of commercial training and operations and Bruce Davisson as manager of training for light-duty vehicle services, to its management team.

Paterson and Davisson both made the transition to Driving Dynamics after it acquired Center for Transportation Safety (CTS) this past July and now join Ben Langley, director of light-duty training services, to develop and oversee the company’s expanded portfolio of behind-the-wheel programs and its base of some more than 100 instructors across the U.S. and Canada.

Having Jim and Bruce on our management team demonstrates Driving Dynamics’ commitment to our customers that their drivers participate in programs led by highly qualified, experienced, certified instructors.  Jim and Bruce along with Ben Langley, continue our tradition of maintaining the highest standards for our training staff which include rigorous ongoing instructor development and performance assessments to assure above average educational outcomes. I’m honored that these two gentlemen have added their substantial combined expertise to our organization,” said Art Liggio, Driving Dynamics president and CEO.

Paterson has made it his lifelong career to support and provide safety training to the transportation industry, beginning in 1982 as an airline ground operations trainer for Frontier Airlines and later as the corporate travel trainer for CLC Travel and driver trainer at Lone Star Freight Lines. He spent the past 15 years with CTS, formerly headquartered in Denver, Colorado, most recently as its commercial vehicle training director. Throughout his career Paterson has developed and supported instructors in delivering company-specific driver safety training to firms operating equipment on our nation’s roadways. Jim is an avid dispersed camper who seeks out the beauty and excitement that Colorado and the Rocky Mountains offer for those brave enough to exit the main roads. He also enjoys fishing and describes himself as a professional caster and novice angler. At home in Centennial, a Colorado suburb, he spends his down time with family, performing home improvement projects and lounging with his two dogs and cat.

Davisson began his distinguished career in law enforcement, spending more than three decades with the Colorado State Patrol, where he rose in ranks from trooper to lieutenant colonel. In 2006 Davisson joined CTS, where in his most recent role he served as its light-duty division director. He is a member of the National Safety Council Defensive Driving Courses International Advisory Committee and past board member for the Association of Traffic Safety Information Professionals, Rocky Mountain Institute of Transportation Safety and the Colorado State Traffic Records Advisory Committee. Bruce holds an associate of science degree in police science and criminal justice and attended the F.B.I. National Academy in Quantico, Virginia. A third generation Colorado native, Bruce and his wife Jayne reside in Parker, Colorado with their Border collie mix, Tasha. They have five adult children, three grandchildren, and five grand puppies. His hobby is collecting police memorabilia of which he is a published author.
